Closure of the Warwick Brussels Office

For the past three years, Warwick has been working with Birmingham City Council, the University of Birmingham and Birmingham City University to place the West Midlands Europe Hub (WMEH) on a sound financial footing. We are sorry to say that these efforts have not proved viable. Taking into account measures we are implementing to recover from the consequences of Covid-19, we have taken the difficult decision to close the Warwick Brussels Office located in WMEH at the end of July 2020.

This decision does not alter Warwick’s fundamental commitment to being a European university and to supporting and championing all the benefits this brings for our researchers and students. We remain committed to our strong institutional relationships in Brussels and beyond. Warwick is a founding member of the EUTOPIA alliance of six European universities, funded as part of the EU’s Erasmus+ European Universities programme.

Colleagues who are currently working with the Warwick Brussels Office, or who have worked with it in the past, are being contacted separately but please contact the International Strategy and Relations team (Andrew.Roadnight@warwick.ac.uk) if you have any questions.
