Virtual international internship programme 'TeaMWork'

Teamwork programme zoom meetingWarwick and Monash have just completed an extremely successful second year of the TeaMWork virtual international internship programme, which saw 150 students from Warwick, Monash (Australia and Malaysia), working in teams of 6 on an organisation’s project during July.
Prior to the projects beginning, students underwent an in-depth induction programme, provided by Warwick and Monash, including team working, communication skills and intercultural training.
25 different organisations provided virtual projects and mentor support, including KPMG Hong Kong, Uniqlo Malaysia and Telstra, Australia:

“What a fantastic effort the students put into this project. We were so blown away by their willingness to participate in the project and their ability to undertake the research and be fully engaged in such a short time, virtually. It was absolutely amazing to be involved as a mentor and as an observer.” Annette Felicissimo, Client Executive, Telstra

The next stage of the programme is a virtual student conference to share learnings, best practice and outcomes. The quantitative and qualitative outcomes from the programme are currently being evaluated and a written and video report will be available after the virtual conference.
