International Partnership Fund 2019-20 is now open

We are delighted to invite applications for the latest round of the University's International Partnership Fund. The Fund is intended to encourage partnerships that will lead to the development of important global research collaborations with leading universities and research institutes.

The deadline for applications to be received is Friday 26 April 2019.

Warwick researchers explore biomass collaboration in Indonesia

Prof. Richard Walton (Chemistry) and Dr. Volkan Degirmenci (Engineering) visited Indonesia in March 2017 to develop their existing collaboration with Universitas Indonesia in biomass research and explore possible new links with Universitas Gadjah Mada.

Warwick and UGM medics explore collaborative possibilities

A delegation led by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, visited Warwick Medical School on 8-9 March 2017 to explore collaborative research and teaching opportunities.

The Dean, Prof. Ova Emilia, was accompanied by the Vice Dean for Research and Development and colleagues responsible for UGM's international and undergraduate programmes in Medicine. The delegation met with the Provost, Prof. Christine Ennew, Academic Vice-President Prof. Lawrence Young and Dean of Warwick Medical School, Prof. Sudhesh Kumar, as well as Warwick researchers working in the areas of oncology, nursing and obstetrics. Opportunities discussed included research workshops, intercalated Masters options and joint PhD supervision.
The University of Warwick signed an Memorandum of Understanding and a student exchange agreement with Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2016. The two universities are developing collaborations in research and teaching across a broad spectrum of disciplines including Engineering, Life Sciences and Politics.
