We are relaunching our international funding schemes for activities starting in the 2022/23 academic year. Our international partnership funds pump-prime international collaborations in research and education, with the view of establishing sustainable partnerships.
The University of Warwick has welcomed former student, His Excellency Luis Alberto Arce Catacora, President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, back to the university’s Coventry campus to talk with students and to learn more about research being undertaken.
Warwick welcomed a delegation from Harbin Institute of Technology, China on 6 December to discuss existing collaboration in Engineering and the potential to broaden this to other areas.
The University of Warwick signed an agreement with the University of Hong Kong (HKU) on Friday 8 December which will allow undergraduate researchers at each university to carry out summer projects at the other university from next year.
Professor Lorenzo Frigerio (Life Sciences) represented Warwick on a UK delegation to Colombia led by Universities UK International (UUKi) in June. The visit aimed to identify and facilitate opportunities for cooperation in teaching, research, postgraduate training and mobility. Alongside a focus on peace-building and transitional justice, the delegation also explored fast-developing opportunities for cooperation in research across the life sciences, social sciences and the arts and humanities. Warwick welcomed a delegation of 8 academics from the University of Malta on 22 and 23 May 2017. This visit was underpinned by a Memorandum of Understanding between Warwick and Malta, which was recently signed by our Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Stuart Croft, and the Rector of the University of Malta, Prof Alfred J. Vella (who is also a Visiting Professor in Warwick’s Department of Chemistry).
