Join the Warwick Interdisciplinary Research Centre for International Development on 7 March as international journalist Shanthini Naidoo launches and talks about her latest book, 'Women in Solitary, Inside the South African Female Resistance to apartheid', which offers a new account based around the narratives of four women who experienced detention and torture in South Africa in the late 1960s when the regime tried to stage a trial to convict leading anti-apartheid activists. The event will be Chaired by Professor Azrini Wahidin, University of Warwick.
