How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Funders’ Research Culture Workshop
IBRB Lecture Theatre / IBRB Atrium

Hear from representatives of the largest STEM research funders about their vision for shaping our research culture.

Register your attendance here

Recently, more and more funders are asking academics the question: ‘What are you doing to promote a positive research culture in your lab?’ The Royal Society defines research culture as “encompassing the behaviours, values, expectations, attitudes and norms of our research communities. It influences researchers' career paths and determines the way that research is conducted and communicated.”

We have invited representatives from UKRI (Research England), Wellcome Trust, Cancer Research UK and the UK Research Integrity Office (UKRIO) to share their visions, and update the research community on funding policies.

Attend this event to see what the future looks like in terms of research culture, and the role of research funding in shaping this. There will also be opportunities to ask your own questions to the speakers during a panel discussion.

Everyone is welcome to attend. We particularly encourage questions from early career researchers (PhD students, Postdocs).
