Funders’ Research Culture WorkshopIBRB Lecture Theatre / IBRB AtriumHear from representatives of the largest STEM research funders about their vision for shaping our research culture.Recently, more and more funders are asking academics the question: ‘What are you doing to promote a positive research culture in your lab?’ The Royal Society defines research culture as “encompassing the behaviours, values, expectations, attitudes and norms of our research communities. It influences researchers' career paths and determines the way that research is conducted and communicated.” We have invited representatives from UKRI (Research England), Wellcome Trust, Cancer Research UK and the UK Research Integrity Office (UKRIO) to share their visions, and update the research community on funding policies. Attend this event to see what the future looks like in terms of research culture, and the role of research funding in shaping this. There will also be opportunities to ask your own questions to the speakers during a panel discussion. Everyone is welcome to attend. We particularly encourage questions from early career researchers (PhD students, Postdocs). |
