Since the University strategy, Excellence with Purpose, was approved in 2018, a lot of progress has been made and the contextual background has changed, not least with the pandemic. We have also adopted the Warwick Story and our vision is to point the way ahead. In light of this enhanced ambition, we have been looking to see how best to refresh the strategy, aiming to do so by early 2023.

We would like to share with you the thinking and work that has gone into this and have therefore organised a “Strategy Summit” to give you a flavour of that progress and emerging direction for the future. You will be able to hear about the Warwick Story and about each of the core and enabling strategies.

You are welcome to join for the full day or some of the sessions, depending on your interests and availability. We will share the programme with you as soon as it is finalised.

As part of the strategy refresh, we will also be exploring adopting a set of behavioural values to bring about the change in behaviours needed to bring about the change. Those who attend the Strategy Summit will also be invited to apply to attend a set of workshops to develop them. It is hoped that the summit will prove a useful backdrop to those attending the workshops.

Learn effective strategies to challenge misgendering, dead-naming, and other trans-exclusionary behaviour. This session will draw on the 5 Ds of active bystander intervention strategy - direct, distract, document, delegate, and delay.
