Career Development Workshop
Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 July, 9:30-16:30. Venue to be confirmed.
The aims of this two-day workshop are to help participants to take stock of where they are in their career, to consider their aspirations for the future, and to create a career development plan. It is aimed at academic and research staff, and people with management responsibilities.
The workshop will be structured around four key questions:
- Where have I been?
- Where am I now?
- Where do I want to get to?
- How will I get there?
This workshop is based on a series of practical exercises, and it is important that participants are willing to engage in a process of self reflection together with sharing of their thoughts in small groups. There will be the option for each participant to have a short follow-up conversation with a careers adviser to review how they are translating their plans into action.
Places are limited to a maximum of twelve.
Facilitated by: Bob Thomson, Management Development Adviser and Anne Wilson, Careers Service.
Target Audience: Academic and research staff, and people with managerial responsibilities.
