Leading Teams
This event has been rescheduled from Thursday 10 May.
The aim of this one-day workshop is to help participants to lead their teams more effectively. It is aimed at staff with management responsibilities who want to modify their approach to leadership with a view to enhancing the performance of the team.
The workshop will consider:
- what distinguishes a team from a group
- how teams develop
- what makes an effective team leader
- balancing concern for achieving task with concern for relationships
- different conceptions of leadership
The workshop will be participative, with plenty of opportunity to relate some simple frameworks to your personal situation with your own team. It is important that participants are willing to explore their own leadership behaviour during the workshop and to share their thinking with one or two other participants.
