Summary: Dr Paul Litchfield, Chief Medical Officer for BT, speaks about mental health in the work place.

Paul Litchfield has been active in the field of occupational mental health for more than 20 years. He is now Chief Medical Officer for BT where he has created a comprehensive support framework for mental health. He provides regular advice to the British Government on work place mental health, being a co-author of the recent independent review "Realising ambitions: Better employment support for people with a mental health condition".

He is currently engaged with the European Commission on the impact of the economic downturn on workers' health. He is a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on chronic disease and a project board member of the Wellness Alliance.
