Course Objectives/Outcomes
By the end of the session participants will:
- Be able to identify those features of mentoring which are particularly important when mentoring staff through change
- Know about and be able to apply a range of strategies in these circumstances
Target Audience
- Existing mentors who find themselves needing to mentor an individual through changing circumstances
- Those setting up or considering setting up mentoring for this purpose
Session Content
- Mentoring – a broad overview
- Aspects of mentoring which are particular important in supporting staff through change
- Use of scenarios to consider the range of strategies that can be used
- Personal reflection and action plans
