Course Objectives/Outcomes

By the end of the session participants will:

  • Be able to identify those features of mentoring which are particularly important when mentoring staff through change
  • Know about and be able to apply a range of strategies in these circumstances

Target Audience

  • Existing mentors who find themselves needing to mentor an individual through changing circumstances
  • Those setting up or considering setting up mentoring for this purpose

  • Mentoring – a broad overview
  • Aspects of mentoring which are particular important in supporting staff through change
  • Use of scenarios to consider the range of strategies that can be used
  • Personal reflection and action plans
