Window on Warwick: What's New at the Library?

Wednesday 30 May, 12:30-13:30. R1.13, Ramphal Building.

The Working at Warwick lunches programme has been a valued part of current awareness and staff development provision at the University for some time. This year, the programme is being re-launched as the Window on Warwick programme. Window on Warwick will present lunchtime sessions on a variety of topics, which offer staff at the University the opportunity to Celebrate, Debate and Disseminate ideas and practice.

At the 'What's New at the Library?' session, find out about the Library remodelling, electronic resources and the Teaching Support Grid.

The Library will undergo a major remodelling over the summer vacation so that we can provide a range of study environments suited to different student needs and ensure that we will have space for the long-term expansion of our ever-growing print collections. The focus of the remodelling will be on the main entrance area and levels 1 and 2 of the building and the project will be an opportunity for the Library to review its service portfolio. Find out more about our plans at this lunch time event.

The Library also has a large electronic resources collection that you can link to from your reading lists and reference lists and (for this term only) we have some temporary staff scanning extracts under the CLA Trial Scanning Licence as part of a pilot project. We will demonstrate some tricks on how to make the most of our large electronic resources collection for your research and enhancing your reading lists, as well as introducing you to the pilot scanning project.

This Window on Warwick will also be an opportunity for you to discuss ideas for the Teaching Support Grid that is to be hosted in the Library as part of the remodelling and that will be a new service delivered by Subject Librarians, e-Lab, CAPD and others to help academic colleagues with their teaching skills and curriculum developments.

To book on this session, please email Helen Ireland in CAPD

Feel free to bring your own lunch. Tea, coffee and morning goods will be available
