"Shu Fa" (Chinese calligraphy) is one of the four traditional oriental arts. It is often thought to be most revealing of one's personality. During the Imperial era, calligraphy was used as an important criterion for selection of executives to the Imperial court.

The Language Centre is sponsoring a special free session with Zhao Yizhou, a master calligrapher who will be demonstrating this art of Calligraphy and involving the audience in brush writing.
