Simon Robinson – JLR – Technical Specialist - Energy efficiency

Simon Robinson completed his engineering degree at Brunel University in 1986, this was then followed by four years as a Research assistant at Loughborough University where he studied lean burn combustion in gasoline engines for submission towards his PhD. Simon then worked in the area of research and development on advanced diesel engines at Perkins engines. Simon has spent the last 20 years at JLR where he has developed specialist knowledge of vehicle powertrains, particularly with regards to efficiency. In the last seven years at JLR Simon has spent time in vehicle research looking at technologies aimed at improving the energy consumption of low carbon advanced vehicles.
