Jan Eijkel (Twete University) explores how the large surface area of nanochannels creates a peculiar environment characterised by very strong capilliary forces, high hydrodynamic flow resistance and high volume charge density. The talk will present some observations of physical phenomena in nanochannels, and present possible applications.
