The National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth (NAGTY) was established at the University of Warwick in 2002. Over the past two years it has launched its Student Academy, Professional Academy and its Expertise Centre. Ken Sloan will outline how the National Academy has developed and highlight what impact it has had on the landscape for gifted students. He will also outline what impact universities can have on the lives of gifted students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
