Staff Walkers - Autumn Walk in Charnwood Forest

Informative wander around Charnwood Forest (Leicestershire): Outwoods, Beacon Hill and Woodhouse Eaves. Led by Jeff Fry.

Beautiful ancient woodlands (an SSSI), fabulous views from the Beacon, Autumn colour, native species tree collection, could be a bit muddy/wet in places, some short climbs, mostly off-road and really worth going - my favourite Leicestershire walk.

Initially meeting at 10.00 am in Car Park 4, University Central Campus on Sunday 24 October. Then meet-up at 11.00 am at Outwoods free car park – map from Jeff Fry or Kay Sanderson. Bring picnic, warm clothes, walking boots/shoes.

Contact:
Kay Sanderson via email: k.sanderson@warwick.ac.uk or tel ext: 73720 (not in office on Fridays) to offer, or catch, a lift – or just turn up.
