University members have the opportunity to experience, first hand, the talent that is Motionhouse Dance Theatre. On Monday 24 January 2005 you can see a FREE performance of ‘Chaser’ in the Warwick Arts Centre foyer.

With three FREE performances scheduled for 1.00pm, 2.00pm and 3.00pm, Chaser is a fifteen-minute performance, which explores the relationships that develop within a bar. It is the perfect opportunity to drop by and see what Motionhouse Dance Theatre are about. You will get to see them in action prior to the premiere of their latest production ‘Perfect’ on Friday 28th January with another performance on Saturday 29th January.

This award winning British dance company, based in Leamington Spa, pursues the creation of remarkable dance through the exploration of movement, visual art and theatre, fusing images and action with commitment and dynamism to create the vital energy of the performance event. Previous productions have included Volatile, Fearless, Atomic, Faking it, and Delicate and all performances have received rave reviews.

Just Perfect
The production that is 'Perfect' has been commissioned by Warwick Arts Centre, and is the final part of a dance triptych, which has included Fearless and Volatile. The performance is to be accompanied by a partner satellite piece commissioned by mac, Lichfield Garrick, Birmingham Hippodrome and Solihull Arts Complex.

This latest production is a daring, emotion charged piece of dance theatre laced with breathtaking aerial action, exquisite partnering and filmic images. All of which aim to vividly illustrate how we make our lives and take our time... while the ‘perfect’ moment stays forever just out of reach.

"I would book now to avoid disappointment. Motionhouse bring us a consistent supply of imaginative and dynamic dance to spice up our programme. Book 'em now and you won't be disappointed!" Alan Rivett, Director of Warwick Arts Centre.
