One World Week Forum: Who Watches the Watchmen? Knowledge, Power and the Media

Why do you believe what the news tells you is the truth? It is easy to influence your political opinions and your economic decisions through mass media. How can we ensure that our everyday information is unbiased? Knowledge is power. Hence, those who control media, sources of our everyday information flows, have power over the society. Are they powerful enough to decide about politics and the functioning of the economy? What values should media pursue?
