The Pack of Resources was commissioned by the Department for Education and Skills to assist practitioners in health, education and social care to assess the developmental needs of children and young people and identify appropriate help. The Pack contains a book, a DVD, learning materials and a practice notebook produced by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and academics under the directorship of The Open University. Informed by new perspectives on child development and featuring contributions from a wide range of disciplines, the Pack centres on the experiences of children and builds bridges between the understanding of child development and the tasks of practitioners working with children and families.
