Talk from Dr. Jung Chang

Dr Jung Chang will give a special talk to students, staff, alumni and friends of the University on Wednesday 17 March at 5:30pm in Ramphal Lecture Theatre.

During the talk, Jung Chang will discuss her ambitions as a child in Sichuan Province, coming to England, the writing and reception of Wild Swans and her most recent work on Mao. There will also be the opportunity for the audience to ask questions.

Jung Chang is the author of the best-selling books "Wild Swans - Three Daughters of China" and "Mao: The Unknown Story". Both books have been translated into more than 30 languages and sold more than 15 million copies worldwide. Dr Chang was awarded an Honorary Degree by the University in 1997.

The talk will be followed by a drinks reception. Places are limited for this talk and entry will only be permitted to those who have registered. If you would like to attend please register by Friday 12 March.
