Expert comment on the progress of the 2019 UK election campaign - Dr Muireann O'Dwyer

Dr Murieann O'Dwyer from Warwick's Department of Politics and International Studies comments on the progress of the election campaigns so far, as some party leaders address the CBI today.

“This continues to be an election that isn't defined by Brexit, and one where turnout is really going to matter. This means we are likely to see (or continue to see) the parties really pitching towards their own supporters in the hopes of mobilising turnout. It seems voters aren't engaged in this election, at least so far. Viewership numbers for tomorrow's first leader debate will tell us a bit more on this.”
