Energy Efficiency Accreditation

(Left to Right) Martin Fry, Andy Leeson, Richard NortonFor the third time in a row Warwick has been successfully accredited by the Energy Institute to acknowledge its organisational energy efficiency.

The University first achieved accreditation, which is reviewed every three years, in 1997 and was successfully re-accredited in 2001 and 2004.

The purpose of the Energy Institute is the promotion of the safe, environmentally responsible and efficient supply and use of energy in all its forms and applications.

Organisational excellence is recognised by the Energy Institute through the Energy Efficiency Accreditation Scheme. This scheme is designed to accredit organisations that demonstrate their achievements in energy efficiency, and was acknowledged as such in the publication of the Government's UK Climate Change Programme.

Andy Leeson and Richard Norton, from the Energy Conservation team in the Estates Office, accepted the accreditation from Martin Fry, the Scheme's Director.
