Warwick in Venice Summer School

A new Venice Summer School exploring global arts will take place at the University’s Palazzo Pesaro Papafava in Summer 2009.

This first Venice Summer School considers historical interchange in the global arts and will involve lectures, seminars and visits to museums, archives and historical working spaces in Venice. It also investigates creativity and innovation in the arts as a key aspect of the global connections that characterised the world between 1300 and 1800.

The Summer School will take place from 25 – 31 March 2009 and is organised by the University’s Institute of Advanced Studies, together with the Global History and Culture Centre (GHCC) and Centre for the History of Innovation and Creativity (CHIC).

The Summer School is aimed at an international and multidisciplinary constituency of MPhil, PhD and postdoctoral students, scholars in the early stages of their careers, archivists, librarians and museum curators. If you are interested in the attending the Summer School, applications are being accepted until 15 December.
