The WMG Academy for Young Engineers, the new University Technical College opening in Coventry this year, has unveiled its complete Senior Leadership Team.
Matthew Brady, Stewart Tait and Andrew Powell join the Academy as Vice-Principal, Director of Pastoral and Finance & Operations Director respectively.
Matthew Brady joins the WMG Academy from Tile Hill Wood School in Coventry where he was Assistant Head; Stewart Tait joins from his position as Assistant Head at the Coleshill School and Andrew Powell from Warwickshire Probation Service where he was Assistant Chief Officer.
Principal Kate Tague said: “I am absolutely delighted to have my Senior Leadership Team complete and on board. We have a huge amount of work to do to prepare for our opening in September, but we are all excited about the work ahead of us and looking forward to getting the Academy up and running.
“We’ve had an incredible response to the WMG Academy, not just from students wishing to study with us, but also professionals interested in working with us. It’s going to be a busy few months as we recruit our teaching and operations teams, and we really are looking to recruit the very best and I don’t think we’ll have to look too far afield – we’ve been stunned by the level of applications we’ve had to date from across the region. There’s a very rich pool of talent on our doorsteps and we’re hoping to tap into it!”
All vacancies with the WMG Academy will be advertised on the website at wmgacademy.org.uk.
