The public science festival, Pint of Science, is returning to Coventry this year with experts from the Universities of Warwick and Coventry talking about their research work in a selection of pubs and venues around the city.

The prestigious event, taking place from 15 to 17 April, brings together more than 700 academic and professional economists from across the globe to present current research developments in economics and showcase real-world applications.

University of Warwick-based Minerva, one of the UK’s largest traditional angel investor networks, has teamed up with Aston University and University of Birmingham Enterprise to expand the funding opportunities available to start-up businesses in the West Midlands by launching a network of ‘business angels with insight’ for Birmingham.
Ways to reduce social inequality in the West Midlands and boost productivity will be researched thanks to an £800,000 research project, led by Warwick Business School with WMG at the University of Warwick, and City-REDI at the University of Birmingham.
