Who is the PGA TEL for?

The PGA TEL is open to all staff at Warwick who have role in teaching, development or learning support. The course is project based so you will need to have the opportunity to develop a TEL intervention in teaching and learning. To meet the requirements of the course you will need to demonstrate substansive teaching and/or supporting learning experience, with at least 20 hours teaching experience over the duration of the year. If you are unsure whether your role offers this potential or have any questions then let us know and we can explore the opportunities available.

What does the progamme cover?

The course follows a design thinking approach to developing your project, considering the challenge you have identified, the needs of your learners and opportunities to share ideas and inspiration. Key topics covered throughout the duration of the course include:

  • Student experience
  • Digital Pedagogy
  • Design for learning
  • The role of the tutor
  • Scholarship of teaching and learning, Evaluation and Ethics

The course is underpinned by the Professional Standards Framework and throughout we will be exploring how this relates to our practice.

Programme delivery and assessment

The PGA TEL is delivered both online and in person through a series of synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities. All activities and materials are designed to support you in your work towards FHEA. We use Moodle and Teams to share work and ideas throughout the duration of the course.
