A summary of food related news from COP, with talks from our Food GRP Academic Leads followed by a round table discussion.
Dr Alastair Smith, is Senior Teaching Fellow and Director of Graduate Studies in Global Sustainable Development at the University of Warwick. Alastair will talk about Getting “Real” about the Climate Emergency and Food Prices: Drivers and lessons from 2021’s historically high food prices
Dr. Martine J. Barons is the Director of the Applied Statistics & Risk Unit (AS&RU) within the Statistics Department at the University of Warwick. Martine will talk about Food prices after Brexit 'How can we make forecasts in the face of unprecedented situation: how structured expert judgement can produce data when we have no data.'
The discussion will be moderated by Professor Jim Smith, Turing Fellow, Statistics Department, University of Warwick.
