7th December, 2016. 12 - 2pm
OC 1.06 (Ground Floor, Oculus building)
A chance to find out more about the facilities available at these RTPs; what is available and how to gain access to them.
Talks from Saskia Bakker (Manager, Advanced Bioimaging Unit) and Richard Beanland (Electron Microscopy RTP).
Lunch will be provided after the talks.
Advanced Bioimaging -
Covering soft and biological materials electron microscopy at room temperature and cryo-temperature, including low-dose imaging, with a focus on possible applications.
Electron Microscopy -
The primary purpose of the Electron Microscopy Research Technology Platform (EM-RTP) is to provide world-class facilities to support materials research at Warwick. The University has demonstrated its support for these facilities by funding a new high resolution SEM and scientific officer to develop both research quantity and quality. This talk will describe the capabilities of the EM-RTP, the techniques available and give some examples of what is possible.
Tours of the Advanced Bioimaging RTP will be available following the talks.
