First Year Boards of Examiners

Information on revised arrangements for online assessments in place of physical exams will be published week commencing 30 March 2020. The latest update for students can be found here.

Welcome to the University's First Year Boards of Examiners site.

Under University Regulation 8, all first-year undergraduate students are assessed at the end of the academic year. The marks of contributing assessments (examinations, essays etc) for the modules they have undertaken over the year are considered by a Faculty-level First -Year Board of Examiners. This is a key milestone in student progression and the University's assurance of the quality of teaching and learning at Warwick.

These pages aim to provide information to staff and students on the operation of the First -Year Boards of Examiners, together with guidance on what to expect and how to navigate the process.
