Approx. 2 hours
This training session is an introduction to using the Moodle Quiz. A basic level of proficiency in using Moodle is required for this course.
The Moodle Quiz is a very powerful activity that can meet many teaching needs, from simple, multiple-choice knowledge tests to complex, self-assessment tasks with detailed feedback.
It allows you to design and build quizzes consisting of a large variety of question types, including multiple choice, numerical, calculated, short answer and drag and drop images and text. These questions are kept in the question bank and can be re-used in different quizzes.
Moodle quizzes can be used for formative or summative assessment with options on time limits, number of attempts allowed, availability of feedback and more.
N.B. Please note that Moodle quizzes are not designed for use in live teaching situations. For making lectures and seminars more interactive, consider using the Vevox personal response system, training on which is also available.
