Understanding students needs

Understanding the needs and requirements of students is hugely important when providing student accommodation. To ensure we provide the right types of properties that students want to live in, we have recently commissioned our student satisfaction survey.

The annual survey is currently live and collecting the latest opinions from our students. Landlords are often surprised by the standards expected, so we use the results from our survey to offer insight into what it is exactly that students want.

Some of the most important factors are bedroom size, quality of facilities, local amenities, and security.

Shera Payne, Owner Relationship Manager at Warwick Accommodation, says:

“To make sure we meet the factors most important to students, we only take on properties that meet certain criteria. This includes a minimum study bedroom size and good quality bathroom and kitchen. We also only take on properties that are near to shops and have good bus routes to the University of Warwick.

We couldn’t be closer to the needs and wants of students. Based at the heart of campus and in Leamington Spa, we have unique insight into student preferences. This allows us to champion the needs of students, often adapting quickly in the wider property market.”

We will use the results of the survey to help offer the best advice to landlords close to the University of Warwick and offer students the types of accommodation they want.
