First Year Undergraduate

The August 23 deadline for guaranteed campus accommodation has now passed and applications have closed. Any applications that have already been submitted will be managed in accordance with the allocation policy. If you have specific accommodation requirements and need to submit an accommodation application, please email

To make an application for first year undergraduate accommodation you will need a full time offer of study at Warwick that you have accepted either as your firm or conditional choice through UCAS. Before making an application for accommodation, you will need:

The accommodation application deadline is 31 July 2018 so please make sure you have submitted your application by this date. If you have any questions, please email allocations at warwick dot ac dot uk.

When you have completed your application form, please carefully check that your application details, including your accommodation preferences, are correct on the confirmation page before submitting. You will also recieve a confirmation email that will contain the details from your application. If there are any differences, please contact Warwick Accommodation as soon as possible. Your confirmation email will be sent to the contact email address on your student record.

If you have applied before the 31 July 2018 deadline, made Warwick your firm choice, and met the conditions of your offer by 23 August 2018, you are guaranteed a place on campus. You will need to meet all of these conditions to be guaranteed a place on campus.

Yes, you will be able to submit an accommodation application. While it is always our aim to allocate all first year undergraduate students on campus, and we have been able to do this for the past few years, students who have made Warwick their insurance choice are not guaranteed campus accommodation and you will be offered accommodation subject to availability. If Warwick is your insurance choice and have made an application but do not come to Warwick you do not need to let us know.

The accommodation application form will remain open after 31 July, and you will be able to submit an application. While we are not able to guarantee that you will be allocated a place on campus, we will endeavour to allocate you to a room, subject to availability. In years of high demand, some late applicants may be asked to share rooms on a temporary basis.

You will need to submit the appropriate application as detailed on the specific accommodation requirements web page for your condition. Please be aware the deadline for your request being supported by the relevant team is 23 August, so you will need to submit suitable evidence in advance to ensure there is enough time for it to be assessed.

You can see your accommodation options on the application form. If you will be under 18 on 22 September 2018, you will only be able to select en suite options as your hall preferences. For an overview of our undergraduate accommodation, you can look at the undergraduate residences web page before completing your application.

Most applications will be allocated through a random ballot which aims to match the highest amount of people with their highest numbered preference possible. Other applications are allocated subject to availability. While we aim to allocate you to a hall of your preference, we are not able to guarantee that this will be possible. If we have more rooms adapted for accessibility requirements than are required for the academic year, it is possible students who do not require adaptations will be allocated to an adapted room.

All family accommodation is managed through Staff and Family Housing . Please see their website for further information.

You can select up to three en suite halls as preferences in your application. You will need to submit a total of five preferences, including at least two shared bathroom halls. Around half of our accommodation is en suite, so there is a chance you will be allocated to a shared bathroom hall. We would recommend only selecting halls you would be happy to be allocated to as one of your preferences. For more information on how we allocate please see our allocation policy.

If you're coming to Warwick, we will process your accommodation application after A level results have been released, when you have an unconditional firm offer of study at Warwick. There's nothing you need to do until we contact you regarding your allocation from late August. We will contact you about your allocation between late August and early September. If you haven't heard from us by Monday 10 September, then please get in touch with us by emailing allocations at warwick dot ac dot uk.
