Final Year Undergraduate Campus Accommodation 2020/2021

  • Applications for campus accommodation for students who will be in their final year in the 2020/2021 academic year will open on 4 November 2019.
  • The deadline for submitting an application for final year campus accommodation is 14 November 2019.
  • Please see the relevant section below for more details on your application type. Please make sure you read the application information carefully as there are different conditions for different application types. You will be informed if you have a place on campus or not by 22 November 2019.

If you are taking part in either the Venice or Monash scheme, you will be allocated a campus room in a finalist area for the period you will be at Warwick for the 2020/2021 academic year. Students spending term one of the 2020/2021 academic year in Venice as part of the Venice scheme will be guaranteed campus accommodation for term two and three of the 2020/2021 academic year, provided that the department confirm you will be in Venice by 8 November 2019, and you complete the online application form by 14 November 2019.

Monash Students spending term two and three of the 2020/2021 academic year at Monash will be guaranteed campus accommodation for term one of the 2020/2021 academic year provided that the department confirm you will be in Monash for term two and three by 8 November 2019, and you complete the online application form by 14 November 2019.

If you have specific accommodation requirements (including medical/disability/mental health grounds) please follow the instructions here. Applications for students with a specific requirement for a finalist area should be submitted by 14 November 2019 to ensure we are able to allocate you to a finalist area. If your application is submitted after this date, we may not be able to allocate you to a finalist area.

If you have already been supported by the relevant team for accommodation for the 2020/2021 academic year then you will just need to complete the final year application form. This will apply even if you are a continuing student not in your final year.

If you do not fall into any of the groups who are guaranteed accommodation and you are registered on a full time undergraduate course (excluding MBChB and degree apprenticeships) which will end in 2021, you are eligible to apply for a ballot for campus accommodation. Any remaining final year undergraduate rooms not allocated to part year or students with specific accommodation requirements will be allocated to non-guaranteed students by way of a random ballot, not on a first come, first served basis.

Please be aware that ballot places for non-guaranteed students are likely to be very limited. All applications will go into the ballot as individuals not as groups. Your student record needs to state 2021 as your end date by 14 November 2019 for you to be entered into the ballot.

Application Information

  • To be eligible to apply for campus accommodation in a finalist area, you will need to be a student in your final year of an undergraduate course, a part-year student on the Venice or Monash programme, or supported for a finalist area through the specific accommodation requirements process.
  • If for any reason you do not meet eligibility requirements after you have applied and been allocated, you are responsible for contacting allocations at warwick dot ac dot uk so the allocation team can liaise with you to find appropriate accommodation. If you do not inform us that you no longer meet the criteria, we reserve the right to cancel or move your allocation to an appropriate area.
  • If you subsequently wish to make any changes or have any queries about your application, please email allocations at warwick dot ac dot uk before midnight on 14 November 2019. No changes will be made to any applications after that time.
  • We will inform you if you have a place in campus halls by 22 November 2019. We will inform you which hall you have been allocated to in term two.

Groups

  • If you are allocated a room on campus in a final year area for the 2020/2021 academic year, we will send you a group form where you can nominate up to 3 students who have also been allocated a room on campus that you would like to be allocated with.

Making an Application

  • To make an application, you will need to log on to the accommodation hub and select the 'Current Students' option, logging in with your Warwick ID and password.
  • Before making an application, please make sure you have selected the correct academic year (2020/2021). You will then need to select 'Returner' as your application type.
  • We will ask you to provide some personal information that the Residential Life Team will use to allocate your room within a hall if you are allocated a place on campus. Here you will also be asked to select the criteria you are applying for finalist accommodation under, either Venice part-year, Monash part-year, Medical/disability grounds or Ballot. Please ensure you select the correct application type as it may not be possible to correct your application at a later date.
  • You will also be asked to provide any specific accommodation requirements for health and disability needs you may have. This information will be used to inform your room allocation by the residential life team. Please note that if you are submitting an accommodation application under the Medical/Disability category, you will still need to complete the relevant process in order to be allocated accommodation on these grounds.
  • In the next step, you will be asked to select four hall preferences. Please note that if you are allocated a place on campus, group membership will override your individual hall preferences, and we will take the group leader's hall preferences into account for the entire group. While we will make every effort to allocate you to a hall of your preference, we are unable to guarantee this will be possible.
  • Finally, you will be asked to confirm your hall preferences and submit your application. A copy of the details you have submitted will automatically be emailed to you. If you do not receive the email within 48 hours, please contact Warwick Accommodation.

  • Please be advised that some contracts start on a Sunday, but to ease comparison of the fees across halls, we have rounded up all the weekly let lengths to the nearest week.
  • All images used are for illustrative purposes only. Images are indicative of the quality and style of the specification and may not wholly represent the actual fittings and furnishings in a particular hall or room.
  • The specifications of halls/rooms is correct at the date of publish but may be subject to change as necessary.
  • During the year there will be building works across campus. This may affect some halls but every effort will be made to keep noise, disruption and inconvenience to a minimum.
