Campus Accommodation For Returning Undergraduate Students 2022/2023

  • Our main applications closed on 24 November 2021.
  • We are however pleased to confirm that some campus vacancies have now become available. If you would like further information about how to apply for one of our campus vacancies please visit our returning undergraduate campus vacancies application page. If you are eligible and would like to stay on campus during the next academic year, we strongly advise to apply as soon as possible as rooms are being offered on a first-come first-served basis, subject to availability.

If you are taking part in the Venice scheme, you will be allocated a campus room for the period you will be at Warwick for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Students spending term one of the 2022/2023 academic year in Venice will be guaranteed campus accommodation for term two and three of the 2022/2023 academic year, provided that the department confirm this by 22 November 2021, and you complete the online application form by 24 November 2021.

Students who have specific accommodation requirements and are seeking accommodation in a returning undergraduate student area need to be supported by the relevant Wellbeing Support Services Team and should have submitted a returning undergraduate accommodation application form by 24 November 2021.

If you wish to apply for specific accommodation on a health or wellbeing need you will need to follow the process here and contact the Wellbeing Support Services team through the Wellbeing Portal as soon as possible to ensure they are able to support you before 24 November 2021. If you are supported by Wellbeing Support Services after 24 November 2021 you will be added to a priority waiting list and you may be offered first year undergraduate accommodation through the main 2022/2023 application process in the summer of 2022. If we are not able to offer you a room which meets your specific accommodation requirements in a returning undergraduate area you will be offered a suitable room in a first year undergraduate area through the main 2022/2023 application process in the summer of 2022.

If you have already been supported by the relevant Wellbeing Support Services team for accommodation for the 2022/2023 academic year and wish to be allocated in a returning undergraduate student area, you only need to complete the returning undergraduate accommodation application form by 24 November 2021.

If you do not fall into any of the groups who are prioritised accommodation and you are registered on a full time undergraduate course (excluding MBChB and degree apprenticeships) which will end in 2023, you are eligible to apply for a ballot for campus accommodation. Please note that students studying a 4 year integrated undergraduate degree will need to be entering their 4th and last year of their degree in 2022/2023. Any remaining returning undergraduate rooms not allocated to part year or students supported by the relevant Wellbeing Support Services Team for specific accommodation requirements will be allocated to students by way of a random ballot, not on a first come, first served basis.

Please be aware that ballot places for students are usually limited and therefore it is unlikely that all applicants will be successful. All applications will go into the ballot as individuals not as groups. Your student record needs to state 2023 as your end date by 22 November 2021 for you to be entered into the ballot.

  • We will inform you if your application has been successful by the first week of December 2021.
  • If your application is successful, we will email details of your hall allocation to you with your offer of accommodation by the end of January 2021.
  • If your application is unsuccessful due to the demand for rooms and you will be in your final year of an undergraduate course for the next academic year, you have the option to be added to a waiting list. We will contact unsuccessful students on the waiting list when rooms become available due to cancellations. When asked 'if you are unsuccessful in the ballot, would you like to be added to a waiting list?' as part of the application process, please ensure you select 'yes' if you would like to be added to a waiting list.

Groups

  • If your application is successful, we will then send you a group form where you can nominate up to 3 other students whose application has also been successful and who you would like to be allocated with. If you fall into two application types (i.e. Venice part-year and medical/disability grounds) or you are unsure about which application type you should choose when applying, please contact accommodation at warwick dot ac dot uk and we will confirm which application type you should select.
  • We will ask you to provide some personal information that will be considered when allocating your room if your application is successful.
  • You will also be asked to provide details of any specific accommodation requirements for any medical or disability needs you may have.

  • Once you have submitted an application a copy of the details you entered will automatically be emailed to you. If you do not receive this email within 48 hours, please contact accommodation at warwick dot ac dot uk.
