What's new in the ITLR - March 2023

Making headway

Just over 90% of the 38 ITLR panels have met and started work on their reviews, with more than half having completed their review of the Self-Evaluation Document and now preparing for and undertaking review visits with the department or cluster.

We have had a fantastic uptake from weekly drop-ins, with panel members' feedback contributing to refinement of the review process. Thank you all for your contributions to making the ITLR run as effectively as possible and for your commitment to engaging in constructive discussions. To find out the dates of future discussions, keep an eye on the ITLR Events page.

Common Themes Workshop recordings now available

The Common Themes Workshop for panels took place on Tuesday 28th February in the Oculus, and was the ITLR's first hybrid live-streamed event. Recordings of each session have been edited into three short, bitesize clips to help support your preparation for Review Visit 2. These can be found in your Panel's Teams channel (Files>SED Review>Common Themes).

The Common Themes co-chairs have also put together their observations from the Self-Evaluation Documents, which have already been saved in each panel's Review Teams channel. (Files>SED Review>Common Themes), accessible to panellists. A version for reviewed departments and clusters has alspo been made available, and can be found on the ITLR website.

Panel review analysis template

Panel Secretaries have indicated that using the Panel Review Analysis Template has been helpful in identifying lines of enquiry and making sure that the student perspective is consistently included in each section of the review. This can be found in your Teams channel, under 'Templates'.

New report writing drop-in sessions announced

We are aware that Panel Chairs and Secretariat may have questions related to writing the SED Summary Report, Review Visit 1 Summary Report and the Final Report. To support you to confidently navigate the exemplar reports and templates, the ITLR Project Team have set up three online drop-in sessions to advise and guide you. Although they are optional, we encourage you to join one of the sessions below, and we look forward to seeing you there.
