Changes to student surveys and feedback opportunities in 2022/23

Student surveys at Warwick will look a bit different this year, with an updated campaign, a new joint University and Students' Union (SU) survey, and changes to the National Student Survey.

To further unify feedback opportunities, the 'Let's Keep the Dialogue Going' campaign has undergone a visual refresh. Feedback opportunities will have different colour schemes, but the campaign will tie all feedback opportunities together so that students are informed of the feedback mechanisms available to them and how impactful these opportunities are at shaping the Warwick experience. Look out for these exciting new visuals around campus following their launch on 21st November.

This campaign will highlight the surveys taking place this year, kicking off with the newly formed Student Feedback SurveyLink opens in a new window, which will replace the University's termly surveys and the SU Pulse survey. The survey will run from 21st November to 4th December, and again in term 3 - please encourage students to take part. In term 2, the accommodation survey will run in January, the National Student Survey will run from 6th February to 30th April, and the Postgraduate Teaching Experience Survey and the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey will run from April to June.

This year's NSS has changed, with new questions and response scalesLink opens in a new window. Questions regarding learning community have been omitted in favour of questions regarding mental health/wellbeing, freedom of speech, and skills development. Of note, the survey has also omitted the Overall Satisfaction question.

As an institution, Warwick will be officially launching the survey the week commencing 6th February 2023. Departments are in the middle of reviewing their target lists and we anticipate that we'll have additions, removals, and missing templates from Ipsos MORI for dissemination in mid-December. Once finalised, EPQ staff will run briefings the week of 16th January and 23rd January to share promotional materials, target goals, and reponse rate escalation action plans. More information regarding these briefings will be shared soon.
