ITLR update - April 2023

The review stage of the Institutional Teaching and Learning Review (ITLR) is continuing at pace. We are now over the halfway mark, with 89% of review panels having held an initial meeting with their respective reviewed departments or professional services clusters, and 57% having completed the first review meeting. The ITLR Project Team are working with the panels to support the scheduling of the remaining dates, and we expect the majority to have happened by the end of May.

Once the second and final review meeting has taken place, panels will write up the final report. This is expected to be submitted to EPQ within a month of the final meeting, marking the final stage of the review process.

Thank you to everyone who has been involved in reviews so far - we appreciate the time and energy you are devoting to the project, whatever your involvement in it. As ever, the team are available to help if you need advice or guidance - you can email the Project Team here.

We have been holding online drop-in sessions for Secretaries and Assistant Secretaries throughout April, to provide guidance on areas including writing the report following the review visits. We are now providing the option for anyone involved in the ITLR to book a meeting with a member of the ITLR Project Team if you have a query about the ITLR or would like support regarding a specific area. Please fill in the form on the ITLR website, and we will get back to you with more information or to arrange a meeting with a suitable member of the team to discuss your query further.

As we begin to complete the review stage of the ITLR, we will start to consider the results and outputs of the project, and will provide further details on this in due course.
