The QAA Uk Quality Code for Higher Education for the assurance of academic quality and standards in higher education is an inter-connected series of documents which provide guidance for universities and other HEIs in managing their work. It replaces the national academic infrastructure, which was in operation previously. QAA audit teams scrutinies universities' adherence to the expectations and indicators in the Quality Code during Institutional Review and other engagements. The various sections of the Quality Code also contain guidance or explanations to help university staff and students understand how the expectations and indicators might apply in their particular context.
As part of our preparations for our Institutional Review, which will take place in Spring 2013, we carried out a mapping exercise, to see how we apply the Uk Quality Code at Warwick and whether there are changes or improvements that we can make. This work is repeated whenever any significant changes to the UK Quality Code are introduced.
