Module content and teaching

Principal aims

 Introduce students to the concept of inclusive learning in the FE and Skills sector through effective curriculum design and planning  Enable students' critical understanding of inclusive learning in the FE and Skills sector through effective development of resources.  Enable students' critical understanding of inclusive learning applying curriculum design in practice.

Principal learning outcomes

• Critically analyse and apply in practice theories, principles and models of curriculum design • Critically analyse the significance of inclusiveness in curriculum design and planning • Apply and critically evaluate planning and design strategies for inclusive practice • Produce and critically evaluate resources for inclusive learning • Critically evaluate the significance of equality and diversity and inclusiveness for curriculum design in practice

Timetabled teaching activities

Two full days in University, two fulls days in placement, one day for independent study
