Principal aims

 Develop students' knowledge and understanding of the theories of teaching, learning and assessment in the FE and Skills Sector  Enable students to apply, reflect upon and critically evaluate a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies

Principal learning outcomes

• Critically analyse and apply in practice theories of teaching and learning • Critically analyse and apply in practice theories of assessment • Critically analyse the range of contexts in which education and training are offered in the lifelong learning sector • Evaluate the significance of equality and diversity issues for assessment of learning

Timetabled teaching activities

Two days in University, two days in placement, 1 independent study day
