Module content and teaching
The main objective of this MSc module is to develop a range of appropriate analytical skills, including dynamic and general equilbrium methods and to to develop the capacity to apply analytical techniques to real world problems.
Principal learning outcomes
"Understand key issues in foreign exchange markets, banking and financial crises, and global imbalances Demonstrate knowledge of asset pricing, corporate financial policy and governance; Abstract and simplify basic economic problems through the application of simple theoretical models; Communicate knowledge and understanding of economics in written and in mathematical forms; Conduct individual and collaborative research into a global finance topic, using world wide web and library resources; Analyse and formulate models for understanding and solving problems. "
