Module content and teaching

Principal aims

The Major Project is the final stage in the course after the completion of your taught modules. It offers you the opportunity to consolidate the interests and knowledge you have accumulated in an independent research project resulting in a 12,000 word dissertation.

Principal learning outcomes

Students will demonstrate a profound engagement with their chosen material or area of specialisation, and its treatment in the existing literature/policies/practices. They will present complex and structured arguments with an awareness of appropriate methodologies for their chosen material and evidence of interpreting a wide range of media and sources of information at a sophisticated level.
