Module content and teaching

Principal aims

This module is designed to give participants an understanding of change - the reasons for it, strategic models, tools and measures – as well as the hands-on experience of managing change and dealing with the consequences of change within a simulated business environment.

Principal learning outcomes

"On completion of the module, participants will be able to: Understand the need for change. Understand the effect of organisation structure and culture on people’s ability and willingness to change; Recognise the different ways people respond to change and develop strategies to gain commitment; Understand how to select and apply appropriate models of change; Differentiate among change tools, techniques and measures and assess the suitability of their application."
