Module content and teaching

Principal aims

This dissertation provides students the opportunity to develop an independent research project with the support of a supervisor enabling them to explore an area of research related to intercultural interaction and/or linguistics.

Principal learning outcomes

By the end of the module, students should be able to: Demonstrate skills in research, critical analysis, argumentation, creative thinking, and academic writing; Analyse cross-linguistic features and contexts, and authentic cross-cultural and intercultural discourses using both quantitative and qualitative methods.

Timetabled teaching activities

Six two hour lectures over terms 1 and 2 and regular supervision meetings.
