Module content and teaching

Principal aims

This module builds on the introductory module Foundations of European Law. It introduces the main policies and substantive law areas in European Union law by analysing the stages in the integration process from early regulation of the common market in the EEC, through efforts to complete the internal market by the SEA, and the political and monetary integration efforts of the EU, since the Maastricht Treaty.

Students taking this module MUST have also taken the Term 1 module - Foundations of European Law. COMPULSORY module for students on the 4-year European Law Degree and the 4-year LLB with a year abroad degree.
