Principal aims
The Chairman of the School (or his or her delegate nominated for this purpose) has the power to approve a proposed Dramatized Dissertation. The key difference between the Dramatized Dissertation and Dissertation LA402 is that a candidate undertaking a Dramatized Dissertation is required to submit their work in the form of a dramatic script such as a play or film script. The dramatized dissertation will provide an opportunity for in-depth research, sophisticated writing and multi-media presentation, with the possibility of high-level group work depending upon the level of uptake within connected subject areas.
Principal learning outcomes
The idea of the Dramatized Dissertation is to permit students to follow up a particular research interest arising out of modules already taken or modules currently being undertaken.
Timetabled teaching activities
The supervisor shall be available to give the student the equivalent of five hours supervision.
