Module content and teaching
Principal aims
The aim of this module is to provide the student with a theoretical framework for the acquisition of a range of clinical skills relevant to the transfer of critically ill/injured patient leading towards competence in managing critical care transfers. These skills will support the student in the preparation and management of patients requiring level two and level three critical care transfers. The background and context in which these patients are assessed, monitored and packaged will form the core content of this module. The skills will be supported by the relevant theoretical concepts and knowledge.
