Principal aims

"To give students the opportunity to apply their knowledge to an individual piece of work in accordance with the University Regulation that: ""A dissertation submitted in part fulfilment of the requirements for the award of a Master's degree shall constitute an ordered, critical and reasoned exposition of knowledge in an approved field and shall afford evidence of knowledge of the relevant literature, and be submitted in accordance with the appropriate course regulations."""

Principal learning outcomes

At completion, students will be able to: Demonstrate self-direction in planning and delivering a research project; Present written work, in the form of a thesis; Interpret data or information in a systematic fashion in order to test a hypothesis; Planning and deliver an oral presentations.
