Module content and teaching

Principal aims

The topics include both the placement of students in employer organisations, and securing employers’ involvement in curriculum-based approaches to career development learning. ‘Placement’ must be understood as meaning ‘the placing of students within an employer organisation’, whether as a placement student, a volunteer or a part-time employee.

Principal learning outcomes

The Employer Relations module will provide students with the knowledge and skills required to interact effectively with employers and to develop a strategic approach to this area of work.

Timetabled teaching activities

Blended learning: distance learning-led with materials provided via a virtual learning environment supplemented by support from tutor.
